Spiritual Teachings & Meditation
What is consciousness? What is this thing called ‘awakening’, our human birthright? How do we reduce suffering in ourselves and in the world?
I have been blessed to have studied with Achariya Qapel Doug Duncan and Catherine Pawasarat Sensei, Teachers in the Namgyal Lineage, for nearly 20 years. It is an honour to share these mystery teachings with you.
Japanese Moxibustion & Acupuncture
Experience the transformative power of Japanese Moxibustion and acupuncture, grounded in traditional Chinese medicine philosophy. I became a Registered Acupuncturist in Canada in 2016, and my practice now focuses on Fukayakyu moxibustion and Kinseikyu postural moxa under the guidance of my Teacher Felip Caudet. Available at Cranbrook Acupuncture Clinic in BC, Canada until Dec 31 2024.
Qigong Practice
Qigong is a type of meditative movement practice that grows your awareness of body, mind and spirit. It helps unstick habitual blocks in your movement patterns (physical and emotional). I learned Taichi-Qigong-Shibashi under Fabrice Piche, and am authorised to teach Set 1 of this wonderful health focused practice.
Ever grateful to learn, I am continuing qigong practices under the guidance of Caroline Kimoto.
Energetic Chinese Medicine
I have been fortunate to recently widen my scope of healing work to Energetic Chinese Medicine (aka Medical Qigong). With this, healing extends past the physical realm into emotional and spiritual aspects. I am currently studying with Medical Qigong practitioner, Caroline Kimoto. If you’re an existing (or new) acupuncture client and would like to try this approach with me, I’m looking for a few volunteers to work with- please get in touch.
What Our Community Says
Cara is an amazing acupuncturist and meditation teacher. She is incredibly kind, compassionate, intuitive and highly skilled. She is very wise and very thorough in her care. The sessions are never rushed and she always makes you feel like you have her complete focus and attention.
My doctor referred me to Cara and I’m glad he did. This was my second experience with acupuncture and traditional Asian medicine, and it was apparent from the start that I was in good hands. She is certainly knowledgeable and professional in her practice, but also very caring and empathetic while she uses her skills to open the body’s channels to healing.
